The Moscow IFC proposes the development of a new-model international showcase city-within-a-city that sets a unique quality-of-life standard and stimulating urban living to attract Russia’s and the world’s top talent.

A landmark mixed-use tower rises from an exciting business and entertainment core that is connected by transit to compact, amenity-rich “sloboda” neighborhoods set within a walkable green framework of park-view and river-view corridors. State-of-the-art infrastructure of built and natural systems connects the site’s signature waterfronts, and makes it a world leader in sustainable living.

PORT worked with the SOM/Chernikhov AD team to design the public realm for the Moscow IFC. A vibrant public domain binds the Riverfront and the Lake into a continuum of places with diverse experiences, but with a cohesive identity. The site’s open space is structured with continuous landscapes punctuated by civic destinations and supported by pathways and trails of connecting varied public places that can adapt to seasonal events and activities.
