Nick Jabs

SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Nick Jabs is a Senior Associate at PORT specializing in the design and implementation of public realm projects across the country. Drawing on dual licensure in architecture and landscape architecture, he leads complex, multi-disciplinary teams to transform overlooked or contested spaces into vibrant, community-centered environments. His recent work includes large-scale park projects in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Idaho, where he has guided efforts from concept through construction.
Nick’s career is rooted in designing for the public good. Before joining PORT, he worked at DLANDstudio in Brooklyn, where he led design initiatives integrating ecological and cultural narratives into urban infrastructure. His collaborative approach has shaped streetscapes, parks, and public spaces that foster social equity and environmental resilience. A committed educator, he has co-taught design studios at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Delaware, mentoring the next generation of landscape architects.
Nick holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded the Ian L. McHarg Prize for design excellence, and a Bachelor of Architecture with minors in Planning and Sustainability from the University of Arkansas. His professional accolades include the Young Architect Award from AIA Philadelphia and a National Olmsted Scholar Finalist designation from the Landscape Architecture Foundation. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Landscape Architecture Foundation, bridging emerging design professionals with industry leadership.
