RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Aminah McNulty is a Research Associate at PORT, advancing the firm’s commitment to equitable and environmentally sustainable public realms. Her work focuses on public space funding models, governance structures, and interdisciplinary research on sustainable public space strategies. She plays a key role in developing PORT’s “Constructing the American Public Realm” initiative, presenting findings at national conferences and supporting stakeholder engagement.
Before joining PORT, Aminah held design, research, and planning roles at the Pennsylvania Environmental Council; City Scale; and Brown, Richardson & Rowe, Landscape Architects and Planners. Her professional journey has centered on advancing climate resilience, green infrastructure policy, and land use planning. She has managed geospatial analyses, designed community engagement tools, and supported strategic environmental projects across the U.S., including climate vulnerability mapping and municipal stormwater policy audits.
Aminah holds dual Master’s degrees in Landscape Architecture and City Aminah holds dual Master’s degrees in Landscape Architecture and City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned an Ecological Planning Certificate with a concentration in Land Use and Environmental Planning. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Environmental Studies from Mount Holyoke College.
